The Point Where You Jump Off

It’s a common tale in today’s rapid-paced work environment. We are overwhelmed and overworked. Each of us busting our humps day to day trying to reach that next goal, that bigger paycheck, that padded client list. We are overachieving while we under deliver what we want for ourselves. People are so busy, busy, busy anymore that they are neglecting all of the aspects of their lives that truly matter.

Do any of these statements sound like you?

I’m working days, nights, weekends. I can’t remember the last time I had some time off.
I’m getting through my to do list but it never gets any shorter and I’m not sure I’m actually getting anywhere.
I miss having quality time with my spouse, kids and friends.
When I am away from my work, I’m stressed out about all the things I’m not getting done.
I’m not sure this is what I’m supposed to be doing.
Personal development? Self care? I’m too busy juggling all my responsibilities.

I completely understand all of these statements. I get you. I know what it’s like to work ridiculously hard but feel unsatisfied with where you are and where you’re headed. I was there once and here’s my best advice to you…

This is the point where you jump off.

It’s time to toss aside the old adage of needing to work harder than everyone else to get ahead. Time to give yourself permission to stop and really examine who you are, where you are, and where you want to go.

Brilliance is waiting and it’s closer than you can even imagine.

It’s past time to get a little perspective, start putting together a winning strategy and then reaping those results as they start flowing in.
